The renovation of agronomic studies is required in a context of globalization and employment mobility. Numeric pedagogy and ICT are precious to develop international programs in agriculture and climate change. In this context, a final conference “Climate Change in Agriculture” takes place in the Higher Agronomic Institute of Chott Mariem (University of Sousse) for an overview of the courses delivered in Tunisian Higher Education Institutions (UJ-ESIM, UCar-INAT, USo-ISA-CM).

Which are the consequences of climate change in genetic biodiversity? How can local varieties and breeds help in future food production? Can the use of local plant varieties allow agricultural systems to better adapt? Could autochthonous breeds improve climate change mitigation strategies?

The speakers of the webinar “The role of rural biodiversity in climate change”, professors Bebeli Penelope and Bizelis Iosif, gave their answers to these questions on Wednesday, 27/01/21 via zoom and in live stream on facebook.com/Clicha.erasmusplus. Students and scientists participated in the online event.

5th Steering Committee Meeting

The 5th Steering Committee Meeting took place on Thursday 30/09/20. It was a great opportunity for the core team of the CLICHA project to meet and exchange views on the further development of the workplan. Additionally, critical parameters linked to the restrictions imposed by the ongoing pandemic were extensively discussed in order to reach to viable solutions.

MC & QC online meeting

The Management Committee and Quality Committee meeting took place on Monday 27.7.20 between all project partners, and led to an interesting and fruitful conversation.

This was the 1st project meeting with the participation of all the institutions after the 4th Steering Committee meeting, that was held in late February, right before the full expansion of the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe and north Africa.
